Hot Time For Anime

If you don’t know what anime is meaning, you are a 100 percent out of date.

Gen-X'ers and older Gen-Y's grew up in the 1980s, when comic book series cartoons like "The X-Men," "Justice League," "Captain America," "Teen Titans," "Spider-Man," "Batman," "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and "The Transformers." As these kids aged, they became adults in their 20s and 30s, creating comic book movie blockbusters to keep the legacy going. The next generation of younger Gen-Y's would look to Japan and China for their comic book series. They grew up with "Dragonball Z," "Pokemon" and "Sailor Moon." Anime comics came to America with surprising fervor and it's not likely to dissipate anytime soon.

The DC and Marvel Comic fans sometimes view anime fans as the ultimate nerds, the plot lines as "cheesy" and the characters as "daft" or "annoying." Older Americans often scratch their heads and ask, "Why are anime comics so popular among today's youth?" Some could argue it was a massive advertising campaign that came over from Japan, who saw America and Europe as large, untapped markets. The challenge was to rework their material into exportable goods with English sub-titles and over-dubs.

They farmed enthusiasm with several different products, with movies like "Ghost in the Shell" or "Akira" and cartoon series like "Dragonball Z," "Pokemon" and "Sailor Moon." The basic business model was to keep costs low, try a little of everything and see what works. Once their endeavors showed great success, the merchandise, the manga comics and the graphic novels made their way over as well. It was the basic economic edict of supply and demand. Give the fans what they want in every capacity, such as with figurines, costumes, backpacks, t-shirts, manga comics, DVDs, downloads and comic book series.

Moreover, the messages in anime comics reach today's youth at a level that traditional DC or Marvel comic books missed. Anime focuses more on emotions, relationship struggles, introspection, adventurous personal quests and the hero's journey; all in surreal, magical surroundings. Unlike cartoons for kids, anime characters will die and complex relationships are formed. Nothing is off-limits in the anime world, not even sex or violence.

People are confronted with deep concepts and provoked to think about the meaning of life. In a way, it's the softer, psychological side of Marvel, blended with the magical, omniscient qualities of a DC superhero: the best of both worlds. For the male fans, some manga comics are adapted to show sexier heroines -- some in their coy school girl uniforms, others with more Westernized curves and futuristic apparel. Yet for the female fans, plots center on soap opera type stories of love, longing and character development. In fact, women make up half the attendees at the anime comics conventions.

Some of the most-viewed anime comics today include Fullmetal Alchemist, Cowboy Bebop, Bleach, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Naruto, Death Note, FLCL, Princess Mononoke (movie), Trigun, Inyuasha and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Account that how many anime series you have watched? At least, I have watched all of this classical anime series. I am a absolutely 80s guy.

Cosplay Your Eyes Cute

Every cosplay knows anime, I guess. Anime roles are cartoon characters from Japan and what describes them the most are large and absolutely adorable eyes. Most people believe that having large eyes expresses emotions pretty well, compared to having regular shaped eyes. This is the primary reason why almost all animated characters have bright big eyes.

Anime contact lenses are now a growing trend, especially to those who are into Japanese Anime. Anime has become a huge hit, not just in Japan, but worldwide. Adults and kids alike have fell in love with their favorite characters. Most of them become inspired by their favorite character that they dress up just to imitate them. Most of them participate in an event called Cosplay.

Cosplays are being held for anime fans and show off their creativity in imitating their favorites, but up until now, these fans are only able to imitate the clothes, color of the hair and the makeup. But Anime contact lenses have now been developed to complete this package and make them look exactly like their favorite anime character.
Several colors and types of contact lenses have been manufactured to look just like the eyes of different anime characters. The colors can vary from deep dark green, black to violet to light blue. These lenses are designed to make you look like an Anime character which increases the size of the iris, due to its extra width. Maximum amount you can wear these lenses are 30 times, and they are for daily use.

Anime colored lenses are absolutely adorable to look at; they make the iris appear larger and create an innocent and endearing look for the user. There are several types of extra wide lenses; you can select the type that will make you look just like your favorite anime character or you can select one that will give you the color of your eyes that you have always wanted, by example complete red or blue contact lenses.
If you want to look like your favorite Anime character, whether for your own pleasure or for a costume party you'll be going to, these contact lenses are right for you. They will make you look just like an Anime character, even if it's temporary. There is no way you can change the width of your iris, therefore, Anime lenses are the only solution available.

Before you decide to purchase contact lenses online, make sure you consult with your eye doctor. Anime contact lenses are non corrective and non prescription; however, it is still advisable to check with your eye doctor. Even though Anime lenses are non prescription, they should be handled as if they are the standard lenses, if not taken care of these may cause eye infection. Even if you have a perfect 20/20 vision, consult with your eye doctor.

Just enjoy yourself in the fantastic cosplay and anime world.

The Classic Dubbed Anime Series

There is always a hot discussion among anime fans whether or not anime should is dubbed over with English voices. Elitist anime fans will say that the only way to view them is with the original Japanese voices with English subtitles. They may complain that the voices in English are stupid, or whiny and difficult to listen to.

However, there are several series that have an excellent dub and are a done very well. For those who may not know, anime is a form of animation that originates from Japan. After the show is released in Japan, the show is sent over to the United States of America where American fans can enjoy them. There are five series that have come over from Japan that stand out from the rest, where the quality of dubbing is superb and the voices fit the characters excellently.

1) Bleach

Bleach

The show bleach originally was a comic that was first released in 2001. Bleach first aired on September 2006 to the delight of American fans. The voice of the protagonist Ichi is voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, who has done great work in several other shows such as Hellbinders, Last Exile, and Akira. The supporting cast is also very good with Michelle Ruff doing Rukia. This show is definitely as good in English and Japanese subtitles.

2) Air Gear

Air Gear

Air Gear is one of the funniest shows ever created. The main character Ikki is done by Chris Patton who does a great job of keeping the humor translated over from the original version.

3) Full Metal Alchemist
FMA

Brothers Edward and Alphonse, voiced by Aaron Dismuke and Vic Mignogna, do an excellent job in this series. With several hundred episodes available in English, it's a good thing they do such a good job.

So what is your opinion about the dubbed anime series?

Cosplay Sailor Moon

I guess everyone who is born in 1980s is familiar with this household anime . It accompanied with us for a very long time. Sailor Moon has been a symbol of our past memory. Now, it is time for us to recollect this classic anime again. Maybe, in the coming Halloween or cosplay cons, you could cosplay sailor moons for refresh your life. That is must be cool. Anyway, let me figure this anime out.

Serena Tsukino is a teenage girl who is described as a daydreamer, a little careless, not the best student and a bit of a cry baby. This is the story of how she is transformed into the fighter for justice - Sailor Moon. This Halloween you can be part of this anime saga with a Sailor Moon costume.

If you are one of the legions of fans of this anime that revolves around a team of magical girls, using super powers to fight evil, then you will be familiar with this story.Serena's life is changed forever when, on her way to school, she rescues a black cat from a group of kids taunting it. She later learns that the cat can talk. Her name is Luna and she gives Serena a brooch and tells her to say, "Moon prism power, makes up". With those words, Serena is transformed into a super hero - Sailor Moon - a fighter for justice.

After she finally defeats the villain in the initial anime episode, another of the characters - Tuxedo Kamen - complements her on a job well done and her eyes fill with hearts. She is then told that in addition to fighting for justice, part of her mission is to find the other sailor scouts: Sailor Mercury, Sailor Venus and Sailor Mars. She is also given several special items to help her utilize her super powers, beginning with the transformation brooch, transformation pen, and a communication device that she uses to talk to other sailor scouts in times of emergency.
All in all, Sailor Moon is a great anime and a good choice for your next cosplay show . Check it out and begin the interesting magic adventure.

Forever Young, Naruto

Knowing that your favorite anime series is going to end is much like graduating from high school. It gives you mixed feelings – relief and despair. Relief because, if the author’s nice, all the loose ends will be tied and you’ll finally get your resolution and despair because you’ll know that, next week, you’ll no longer be sitting in front of the TV waiting for your favorite Naruto to air.

Rumors of the End

Recently, a lot of Naruto fans have been predicting that Naruto would end soon. And of course, it has created quite a racket among the Naruto fans because, really, who wants that anime to end? Sure, we all want to see if Naruto really does become Hokage, we all want to find out if Sasuke and Sakura get married, and we all want to see if Kakashi ever does take off his mask. But then again, Naruto has been with us for such a long time now – since 1999 for the manga and since 2002 for the anime. And Naruto’s almost like a friend now – a little brother. And tuning in every week to see what happens to him has become such a familiar routine that it’s hard to imagine a month without that knuckleheaded ninja that we all love.

This rumor – that Naruto would end soon – is still circulating even now as you read. The main question is – is it true? Frankly, I doubt it. There are just too many unresolved issues in Naruto right now that it doesn’t seem easy that the anime would end soon. A good indication that the anime’s about to end is if the manga is nearing its end. And take it from an avid manga reader, Naruto’s just warming up. The first part of Naruto before the timeskip was like an introduction of characters compared to the depth of Shippuden right now. All those issues in Naruto – the kyuubi, the Uchiha clan, the Akatsuki – they’re all being explored in Shippuden right now. They’re being dissected, and each day, we learn something new and the plot only gets deeper and deeper.

Part 1 was barely stroking the surface. There was more to the Kyuubi than met the eye. It wasn’t just a rampaging monster – the Kyuubi had ties to the Uchiha clan, Uchiha Madara to be exact. It seems that the Uchiha clan has more secrets that have yet to be revealed. There seems to be more to the Uchiha Clan’s massacre than we were led to believe. Also, there’s the appearance of the Rinnegan, the strongest doujutsu ever in the Naruto universe, and it is further complicated by the fact that it is the Akatsuki Leader who owns this eye technique. There’s also the matter of Kabutomaru – the combination of Orochimaru and Kabuto. Then there’s the whole matter of the root ANBU.

So, When Will Naruto End?

If you want an honest answer, then I’d say that I have no idea. Only Kishimoto can tell. It’s his story and he could end it tomorrow by killing off the characters with a comet if he so desired and we wouldn’t be able to do a thing about it. All we can do is speculate.

Really, there’s just too many things going on in Naruto right now that it doesn’t seem like it’s going to end any time soon – at least, not in the next few years. So, I suggest you start loving that blond-haired ninja right now because it looks like Naruto’s here to stay.

2010 World Cosplay Summit

I promise that this is the first time that I heard the name. It is World Cosplay Summit. Though I am a cosplayer enthusiast, WCS is totally a new name for me. I am not familiar with the contest until I read the news on the internet. It is said that WCS is the most important cosplay contest around the world. I know I am behind the time.

So, let me figure out what the summit is. WCS, short for World Cosplay Summit, is held by Japanese Aichi television station since 2003. Representatives from Japan, Italy, Brazil and other countries come to the cosplay contest for the final title. There are only two cosplayers from each country. They will compete with costumes and the perform of the original character. The meeting has been held 5 times. This year, 30 representatives from 15 countries attend the competition. And Japanese vice foreign minister also met with cosplayers from Mexico, Spain and the United States. I think Japanese government is promoting the cultural communication between Japan and other countries in the special way. Also I can see than Japanese government attaches great importance to the oversea output for animation, game culture.

All the cosplayers had a parade on July 31, in Aichi, Nagoya. The Japanese animation fans gave them a warmly welcome. Though it was raining in the process of the march, the crowds were still enjoying themselves. I just hope I was standing there to enjoy the summit. You know it is a good chance for every cosplay lover to attend the cosplay contest. What a pity.

Though a keen competition, Cosers from Italy take the crown. They 100 percent deserve the honor if you have saw their cosplay show. Very excellent. Nice cosplay costumes and great performance. They are the king of the cosplay field this year. I hope World Cosplay Summit go on next year, maybe I have the chance to attend it next year.

Hot Cosplayers in ChinaJoy

The Sixth ChinaJoy has been held from July 29 to Aug 1 in Shanghai. That is the most important digital entertainment expo in China. Most of the powerful digital entertainment companies from Europe, America, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, mainland China and Taiwan, Hong Kong are gathered here to cerebrate the grand meeting. As for me, an avid anime lover and cosplayer, I only concentrate the showgirls in the meeting. I can call them cosplayers in my words.
So, you know, ChinaJoy is a place where I must go. You know, I watched anime and cosplayed when I was 10 years old. And now, I have left college and began to work. Anime and cosplay has been an important part of my life. And what is more, luckily, my job is related to my hobby. I think this is the most coolest thing in the world.
Let me go down to business, I bet you am not willing to hear the boring thing of myself. You may think what I say is nothing but rubbish. Lol. I know you read my articles just because the title. I am not pulling your leg. What is the point, this is that I attend the ChinaJoy last weekend In Shanghai.
That is a nice trip for me. It is the second time for me to go Shanghai. The last reason is Shanghai Expo. Now time for ChinaJoy. It is exactly because of Cosplay. Showgirls in that meeting. Honestly, I am not deeply interested in the digital works. But I really focus on the cosplayers for the digital entertainment meeting. There are all kinds of cosplayers there, cute ones, hot ones, beautiful ones. So, it is the most great feature about the meeting. I guess there are lots of guys like me coming to the expo only to look at the nice cosplayes. So, let me share some photographs I got in the expo. Enjoy them.
